Architect of Infomercial Industry to Address Inventors at
Nation’s Largest Public Toy and Game Fair
Chicago Toy & Game Group (ChiTAG) is proud to announce that Kevin Harrington will be a featured Guest Speaker, during their 10th Annual Toy & Game Fair events to be held on November 13-18, 2012.
Harrington will speak at the Toy & Game Conference (T&GCon), I-SPI and Social Media @ Play Conference (SMAPCon) luncheon that will take place on Friday, November 16 at Navy Pier. His outstanding success, dominating media presence and product knowledge is the force that drove ChiTAG’s initial interest in Harrington.
“I think Kevin’s interest in our event goes right to the heart of our mission,” said Mary Couzin, president and founder of the Chicago Toy and Game Group which produces the Fair. “Toy and game inventors have such an important place in our culture because we all value playtime so much from childhood through adulthood. Our show has always been dedicated to showcasing independent toy and game makers as well as mid-range and large companies, so I know that Kevin’s participation is going to add even more interest from exhibitors.”
In 2011, Harrington’s company As Seen On TV, Inc. acquired the web property AsSeenonTV.com. AsSeenOnTV.com represents a highly trafficked catalog of direct response products with over two million customers, 700,000 email registrants and hundreds of thousands of unique visitors each month. He is now chairman of As Seen On TV, Inc.
Due to his extensive resume, Harrington was selected as an investor “Shark” on the ABC television series Shark Tank produced by Mark Burnett. The show gives budding entrepreneurs the chance to pitch their products to a panel of acclaimed judges in hopes of turning their ideas into a successful business reality. He recently released a book entitled “Act Now: How I Turn Ideas into Million-Dollar Products” that chronicles his life and experiences in the DRTV industry.
“I am so excited to be attending ChiTAG this year as a keynote speaker,” said Harrington. “The show has done a lot for the industry and I am excited to explore and help promote the synergies between the direct response world and the toy and game space.”
