Get ready to explore the exciting production surrounding The Amazing Spider-Man, when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment debuts The Amazing Spider-Man Second Screen App, available exclusively for the Sony Tablet™ S, Sony Xperia™ Tablet S and Apple iPad. The Second Screen App, which syncs only with the Blu-ray Disc™, transforms the movie-watching experience, giving users behind-the-scenes access into the amazing world of Spider-Man throughout the film. Additionally, the App will unlock new content each week with all content available by the November 9th release of The Amazing Spider-Man on Blu-ray.
In Timeline Mode, the App syncs with the Blu-ray Disc, allowing scene-specific trivia, featurettes, storyboards, interviews, and other content to scroll across your tablet in time with the movie.
In Production Mode, users can explore even more content that goes deeper into the making of the film by diving into the various areas of the production process including Filmmakers, Story, Design, Cast, Location and Stunts, among others. And when the App syncs with the Blu-ray Disc through a connected player, users can “sling” select content from the Sony Tablet or iPad to the television screen to watch it in full HD, for a greater viewing experience.
In addition, users can also update their Facebook and Twitter pages and share their viewing experience by posting trivia and facts directly from the App.

What is The Amazing Spider-Man™ Second Screen App?
The Amazing Spider-Man Second Screen App enables your Sony Tablet S®, Xperia Tablet S or iPad ® to interact with your Blu-ray™ disc of The Amazing Spider-Man. It enhances your viewing experience by playing behind-the-scenes material timed to the movie on your tablet while the movie itself plays on TV. In other words, your tablet becomes your “second screen” as you watch the movie.

Do I need to own the Blu-ray disc of The Amazing Spider-Man to use this app?
No. This app can be enjoyed on its own. However, syncing the app up with your Blu-ray will provide you with additional content that’s only available when you’re playing the disc, as well as a much more dynamic and enjoyable experience. It’s a whole new way to watch the movie.
What devices can this app run on?
This app is designed for the Sony Tablet S and Xperia Tablet S running Android 3.1+ and iPad running iOS 5+.
How do I sync this app to my Blu-ray disc of The Amazing Spider-Man?
Just follow these easy steps:
1. Insert and launch your Blu-ray disc.
2. Wait for the main menu to appear on your TV.
3. Make sure your Blu-ray player is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your tablet.
4. Launch The Amazing Spider-Man Second Screen App on your tablet.
5. If your device and your Blu-ray player are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, they will sync automatically.
6. Tap on any app button with a “sling” icon in order to view that segment on your TV.
What do I do if the app doesn’t connect with my Blu-ray Disc?
First, make sure The Amazing Spider-Man Blu-ray disc Feature or main menu is currently playing on your TV. If it is, close the Amazing Spider-Man Second Screen App, and re-launch it. The app should automatically find the Blu-ray player.
When synchronized, the “sync” icon in the top right corner of the app will no longer have a cross bar through it. If you still see the cross bar, then use the “Test Connection” button at located in the help button on the main interface of the app. This will send a test signal that will look for a connected Blu-ray player.
Note: If you have more than one Wi-Fi network, make sure your Blu-ray player is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your tablet.
